Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company joins SETE
As part of Athens Mayor Nikita Kaklamanis' strategy for tourism development in Athens and the establishment of productive and constructive collaborations with the private sector and market organisations, the City's Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company (ATEDCo) has joined the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE).
ATEDCo is the City of Athens' official tourism organisation, charged with implementing the City's tourism policy, particularly with regard to the promotion of Athens and its tourism product abroad, the provision of visitor information and the representation of the city in international and European tourism-related networks.
SETE is the central organisation representing the whole of the tourism sector in Greece. Its members include national sectoral associations of tourism enterprises, as well as individual businesses active in the tourism economy and covering the entire range of tourism activities.
SETE works toward continued strengthening of competitiveness and on emphasising the leading role that tourism plays in the Greek economy.
ATEDCo also became a member of the Hellenic Retail Business Association (SELPE) as part of the City of Athens' strategic framework for the support of the city's local economy and its strengthening through tourism development and tourism activity in general.
SELPE is the only representative body for large retail store chains, shopping centres and large Greek and multi-national commercial enterprises.
