British journalists tour Athens and New Acropolis Museum

Aiming to bolster the positive image of Athens abroad, the Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company (ATEDCo) invited eight distinguished journalists from Great Britain to visit the city and take a tour of the New Acropolis Museum and the unified archaeological sites in the Athens centre. They were also presented with printed material about the Greek capital.

The visit to inform journalists was organised by the Greek National Tourism Organisation office in Great Britain with ATEDCo's active participation. It was held from 14 to 17 May.

The British journalists who visited Athens write for some of the best-known newspapers, including the Financial Times of London, the Sunday Mirror and The Independent.

The positive impression they received from their trip will contribute greatly to the creation of a positive image for the city of Athens as an important urban and conference tourism destination.
