Committee for the promotion of Convention Tourism

Athens was represented at the Special Joint Committee for the promotion of Convention Tourism, by the CEO of the ATEDCo, Mr Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, and the Director of the Athens Convention Bureau, Mr George Angelis. The decision to establish the Committee was endorsed by the signature of the Minister for Tourism, Mr Aris Spiliotopoulos, on Monday, 24th November. The activities of the Joint Committee for Convention Tourism will be centred around the two large cities of Athens and Thessaloniki, in conjunction with the emergence of their programme ‘city break’ destinations within Greece.
