The Athens Convention Bureau

The first seminar of the E-Tourism Seminars Roadshow was successfully completed in Athens, on 27 & 28 September 2011. at the Technopolis City of Athens (room "KostisPalamas", 100 Pireosstr, Gazi), brought by Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company (ATEDCo) and Athens Convention Bureau (ACB).

This practical and informative seminar was presented by E-Tourism Frontiers CEO, Mr. Damian Cook featuring special sessions by representatives of Expedia & TripAdvisor.

ATEDCo CEO Panagiotis Arkoumaneas received an award for his contribution to the development of conference tourism in Greece through the creation of the Athens Convention Bureau.

The Athens Convention Bureau's (ACB) first ever participation to the Global Meetings and Incentives Exhibition EIBTM 2008 was a resounding success.

The Athens Convention Bureau (ACB) will be participating for the first time at the EIBTM expo, 2-4 December, stand number P300.

The bolstering of the Greek conference market, in addition to consideration of the demands and future prospects of convention tourism in Greece, were the main broad objectives of the meeting which took place on Friday, 6th June, 2008, between representatives of the Thessaloniki Convention and Visitors Bureau (TCVB), the Hellenic Association of Professional Congress Organizers (HAPCO) , the Athens Hoteliers Union - Attica (EXAA) and the Athens Convention Bureau (ACB).
