City of Athens and the Athens-Attika Hotels Association attended the WTM2011.

For the third consecutive year the Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company and the Athens-Attica Hotels Association join forces and share a booth, as joint exhibitors of the Greek National Tourism Association, at the 32th International World Travel Market Show, on 7-10 November in London. with great success.

This action, as part of the City of Athens' strategy to promote the city's tourism product and hotel infrastructure abroad and to develop partnerships with tourism organisations, was deemed great success.

The first seminar of the E-Tourism Seminars Roadshow was successfully completed in Athens, on 27 & 28 September 2011. at the Technopolis City of Athens (room "KostisPalamas", 100 Pireosstr, Gazi), brought by Athens Tourism and Economic Development Company (ATEDCo) and Athens Convention Bureau (ACB).

This practical and informative seminar was presented by E-Tourism Frontiers CEO, Mr. Damian Cook featuring special sessions by representatives of Expedia & TripAdvisor.

Athens: Two new Info-Points for tourists!

Following the success of the Info-Point at the Athens International Airport, two new Info-Points at the center of Athens, on Amalias Ave and Dionisiou Areopagitou conjunction, and the port of Piraeus are now open to the public. The Info-Points, part of Athens's Mayor Yorgos Kaminis's strategy for the promotion and projection of Athens and ATEDCo's Action Plan for 2011-2012, aim to provide Greek and foreign visitors with useful information and guidance about Athens's highlights and outskirts.

On June 23rd, the Athens Convention Bureau (ACB) organized an event in order to present and promote the Athenian prospects and positioning in the international convention and corporate meetings market under the spectrum of the current and emerging trends.

The Mayor of Athens, Yorgos Kaminis outlined in an opening speech the basic axes of the Municipality's touristic policy and the new tasks undertaken by the ACB.

According to the Action Plan presented by Mayor Kaminis the ACB aims to proceed to:
